Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. About 3 out of 4 sexually active people who are unimmunized will get HPV at some point in their life. Most people infected with HPV do not have symptoms and can transmit to others without knowing it. Majority of the HPV infections will clear on their own, but for some people, HPV will not go away and cells infected with the virus can become cancerous over time.

The HPV vaccines are extremely effective in protection against the human papillomavirus that cause certain types of cancer including cervical, vaginal, anal, head and neck, as well as genital warts. You might not be too old for the HPV vaccine. Talk to our travel clinician to see if it is right for you.
